Known for his tailored suits as much as his tenacious on-ball defense, "Clyde" Frazier became the first NBA player to have his own signature sneaker. Born March 29, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia. Height 6 ft 4 in (193 cm).
He played at Southern Illinois (1963–1967), leading the team to the 1967 NIT championship and winning tournament MVP. Drafted 5th overall by the New York Knicks in 1967, he spent 10 seasons anchoring the franchise before finishing his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers (1977–1979).
Frazier was the floor general for both of the Knicks' championship teams (1970, 1973). In the decisive Game 7 of the 1970 Finals, with an injured Willis Reed limited to a symbolic appearance, Frazier carried the team with 36 points, 19 assists, and 7 rebounds. A seven-time All-Star, he won the 1975 All-Star Game MVP and made the All-Defensive First Team seven consecutive seasons.
Career totals: 15,581 points (18.9 ppg), 5,040 assists (6.1 apg), 4,830 rebounds (5.9 rpg) over 825 games.
His No. 10 was retired by the Knicks. Named to the NBA's 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987.
