Known as "King James" — the forward who rewrote nearly every major record in the NBA. Born December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. Height 6 ft 9 in (206 cm).
Drafted 1st overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003, straight out of high school. Over 23 seasons he played for the Cavaliers (2003–2010, 2014–2018), the Miami Heat (2010–2014), and the Los Angeles Lakers (2018–2026); in July 2026 he announced he would continue his career with the Philadelphia 76ers.
James won four NBA championships (2012, 2013, 2016, 2020), earning Finals MVP each time. He was named regular-season MVP four times (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013). A record 22-time NBA All-Star and record 13-time All-NBA First Team selection, James is the only player in league history to record at least 10,000 career points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists.
Over the course of his career he became the NBA's all-time leading regular-season scorer, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record on February 7, 2023. He closed out the 2025–26 season with career totals of 43,440 points, 12,095 rebounds, and 12,016 assists — averaging 26.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
A three-time Olympic gold medalist with Team USA (2008, 2012, 2024), he was named the tournament's MVP in 2024. Named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.
