Only three players in NBA history have ever crossed 20,000 points, 6,000 rebounds, and 6,000 assists in a career — Oscar Robertson, John Havlicek, and Clyde "The Glide" Drexler. Born June 22, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Height 6 ft 7 in (201 cm).
He starred at the University of Houston (1980–1983) on the high-flying "Phi Slamma Jamma" teams, reaching consecutive Final Fours. Drafted 14th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in 1983, he spent 12 seasons there before finishing his career with the Houston Rockets (1995–1998), where he won his only NBA championship in 1995.
A 10-time NBA All-Star, Drexler made the All-NBA First Team once (1992) and never missed the playoffs across his 15-season career. He won an Olympic gold medal with the original 1992 "Dream Team."
Career totals: 22,195 points (20.4 ppg), 6,677 rebounds (6.1 rpg), 6,125 assists (5.6 apg) over 1,086 games.
His No. 22 was retired by both the Trail Blazers and the Rockets. Named to the NBA's 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice — as a player in 2004 and with the "Dream Team" in 2010.
