A torn Achilles tendon in the 2025 playoffs looked like it might end an era — but "Dame Time" had already delivered enough iconic buzzer-beaters to secure his legacy regardless. Born July 15, 1990, in Oakland, California. Height 6 ft 2 in (188 cm).
He starred at Weber State (2008–2012), finishing as the school's No. 2 all-time scorer. Drafted 6th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2012, he won Rookie of the Year and spent 11 seasons as the face of the franchise, hitting series-clinching buzzer-beaters against Houston (2014) and Oklahoma City (2019) that became signature moments of his career. Traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2023, he suffered the Achilles injury in the 2025 playoffs, was waived, and returned to Portland that same year.
A nine-time NBA All-Star, Lillard won three NBA Three-Point Contest titles, tying Larry Bird and Craig Hodges for the most in history, and made multiple All-NBA teams over his career. He scored a career-high 71 points in a single game in 2023.
Career totals: 25.1 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game over 900 games and 13 seasons.
