Drafted 28th overall out of the French league, Tony Parker became the first European player to win an NBA Finals MVP award, anchoring one of the sport's most successful international cores. Born May 17, 1982, in Bruges, Belgium, and raised in France. Height 6 ft 2 in (188 cm).

He played two seasons for Paris Basket Racing before being drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 2001, spending his entire 17-season NBA tenure with the franchise before closing his career with a single season for the Charlotte Hornets.

Parker won four NBA championships with the Spurs (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014), earning Finals MVP in 2007. A six-time NBA All-Star, he made the All-NBA Team four times, forming a core trio with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginóbili that anchored nearly two decades of Spurs success.

Career totals: 19,473 points (15.5 ppg), 7,036 assists (5.6 apg), 3,396 rebounds (2.7 rpg) over 1,254 games — he retired as the ninth-leading postseason scorer in NBA history.

His No. 9 was retired by the San Antonio Spurs and by the French national team. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023. He now owns and presides over ASVEL, his original French club.
