"Knick Killer" — the nickname earned for a lifetime of daggers against New York, none more famous than his 8 points in 9 seconds. Reggie Miller was born August 24, 1965, in Riverside, California. Height 6 ft 7 in (201 cm).
He played at UCLA (1983–1987), earning third-team All-American honors and Pac-10 Tournament MVP in 1987. Drafted 11th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 1987 NBA Draft, he played his entire 18-year career with the team.
Miller retired as the NBA's all-time leader in three-point field goals made, with 2,560, a record later surpassed by Ray Allen and Stephen Curry. A five-time NBA All-Star, he led the league in free-throw percentage five times. He never won a championship, but led the Pacers to the 2000 NBA Finals, where they lost to the Lakers. He won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in 1996.
Career totals: 25,279 points (18.2 ppg), 4,182 rebounds (3.0 rpg), 4,141 assists (3.0 apg), shooting .471 from the field and .395 from three-point range.
His No. 31 was retired by the Indiana Pacers. Named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021 and inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
