Precision, repetition, and one of the purest shooting strokes the NBA has ever seen — that combination made Ray Allen the league's all-time three-point king for a decade. Born July 20, 1975, in Merced, California. Height 6 ft 5 in (196 cm).
He starred at UConn (1993–1996), earning consensus All-American and Big East Player of the Year honors as a junior. Drafted 5th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1996 and immediately traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, he went on to play for the Seattle SuperSonics, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat over an 18-season career, winning NBA championships with Boston (2008) and Miami (2013).
His clutch game-tying three-pointer in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals is regarded as one of the most memorable shots in league history. A 10-time All-Star, he held the NBA record for career three-pointers made from 2011 until Stephen Curry surpassed him in 2021.
Career totals: 24,505 points (18.9 ppg), 5,272 rebounds (4.1 rpg), 4,361 assists (3.4 apg). He won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in 2000.
Named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
