Injuries have shadowed his career, but when healthy, few two-way players have matched Kawhi Leonard's combination of lockdown defense and clutch scoring. Born June 29, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. Height 6 ft 6 in (198 cm).
He played two seasons at San Diego State (2009–2011) before being drafted 15th overall by the Indiana Pacers in 2011 and immediately traded to the San Antonio Spurs. He spent seven seasons in San Antonio before moving to the Toronto Raptors (2018–2019) and then the Los Angeles Clippers, where he has played since 2019.
Nicknamed "The Klaw," Leonard won NBA championships with both the Spurs (2014) and the Raptors (2019), earning Finals MVP both times — one of the rare players to win the award with two different franchises. He also won Defensive Player of the Year twice (2015, 2016).
Career totals over 14 seasons and 798 games: 20.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. A seven-time All-Star, he has made the All-NBA Team seven times, including three First Team selections.
