Two blockbuster trades in as many years have defined the recent chapter of Anthony Davis's career — first the stunning 2025 deal that sent him from the Lakers to Dallas in exchange for Luka Dončić, then a 2026 trade to the Washington Wizards. He won the 2012 NCAA championship at Kentucky before being drafted 1st overall by the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) that same year. He spent seven seasons in New Orleans before a 2019 trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won the 2020 NBA championship alongside LeBron James.
A multiple-time NBA All-Star, Davis has made the All-NBA First Team four times, the All-Defensive Team five times, and led the league in blocks three times.
