Career timeline, milestones, and place among all-time greats.
A left-handed shooting stroke so pure it earned him a spot on the original "Dream Team" alongside Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson — despite Chris Mullin never possessing their athleticism. Born July 30, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. Height 6 ft 7 in (201 cm).
He won the Wooden Award as national college player of the year at St. John's in 1985. Drafted 7th overall by the Golden State Warriors that year, he spent 12 seasons there as part of the high-scoring "Run TMC" trio with Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond, later playing three seasons for the Indiana Pacers before returning to Golden State to close his career.
A five-time NBA All-Star (1989–1993), Mullin made the All-NBA First Team once and Second and Third Teams twice combined.
Career totals: 17,911 points (18.2 ppg), 4,034 rebounds (4.1 rpg), 3,450 assists (3.5 apg) over 986 games and 16 seasons.
His No. 17 was retired by the Golden State Warriors. He won two Olympic gold medals (1984, 1992) and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice — as a player in 2011 and with the 1992 "Dream Team" in 2010.
