Elisha Nelson Manning is a former quarterback born January 3, 1981, the youngest son of NFL quarterback Archie Manning and younger brother of Peyton Manning. He played college football at Ole Miss and was drafted first overall by the San Diego Chargers in 2004 before being traded to the New York Giants on draft day, where he spent all 16 of his NFL seasons. He's a two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP, and four-time Pro Bowler.

Manning's defining moments came in stunning Super Bowl upsets over Tom Brady's New England Patriots — first in Super Bowl XLII, denying the Patriots a perfect season on the strength of the iconic "Helmet Catch," and again in Super Bowl XLVI. Both times he was named Super Bowl MVP, making him one of just six players to win the award multiple times.

Never the most statistically dominant quarterback of his draft class, which also included Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger, Manning nonetheless outlasted and outperformed them on the biggest stage. He holds the Giants' all-time records for passing yards, touchdowns, and completions, and started 210 consecutive games from 2004 to 2017, the third-longest streak by an NFL quarterback.

Manning retired in 2020 with 57,023 career passing yards and 366 touchdown passes, ranking 11th all-time in both categories. He's the only eligible quarterback with multiple Super Bowl MVPs not yet inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, though he became eligible in 2025.

Since retiring, Manning has become a media personality, co-hosting ESPN's popular "Manningcast" alongside his brother Peyton during Monday Night Football broadcasts.
