Drew Christopher Brees is a former quarterback born January 15, 1979, in Dallas, Texas (6'0", 209 lbs). He played college football at Purdue and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft, spending his final 15 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He's a Super Bowl XLIV champion and MVP, two-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year, and 13-time Pro Bowler, inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026.

Brees overcame a career-threatening shoulder injury with San Diego before signing with New Orleans in 2006, arriving in a city still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. He quickly transformed the Saints from perennial also-rans into consistent contenders, leading them to seven division titles and the franchise's first championship in Super Bowl XLIV, where his MVP performance sealed a 31-17 win over Indianapolis.

Brees set numerous NFL records over his career, including seven seasons leading the league in passing yards and a then-record 5,476 yards in 2011. In 2018, he broke Peyton Manning's all-time passing yards record and posted an NFL-record 74.4% completion percentage. He also set the mark for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass, at 54, breaking a record that had stood for over 50 years.

Off the field, Brees became one of the most beloved figures in New Orleans history for his extensive philanthropy, particularly his and his wife's foundation's work rebuilding the city post-Katrina, which earned him Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year in 2010.

Brees retired after the 2020 season with over 80,000 career passing yards and 571 touchdown passes, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a first-ballot selection in 2026.
