Nicknamed "Big Dog" for a college scoring nickname that stuck, Glenn Robinson arrived in the NBA as the top overall pick after a senior season that made him the last player to lead the nation in scoring en route to being drafted first. Born January 10, 1973, in Gary, Indiana. Height 6 ft 7 in (201 cm).

He starred at Purdue (1992–1994), winning the Wooden Award as national player of the year and leading the nation in scoring as a junior. Drafted 1st overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1994, he spent eight seasons there before later playing for the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.

A two-time NBA All-Star (2000, 2001), Robinson won his only NBA championship in 2005 as a role player with the San Antonio Spurs, closing out an 11-season career.

Career totals: 14,234 points (20.7 ppg), 4,189 rebounds (6.1 rpg), 1,879 assists (2.7 apg) over 688 games.

His son, Glenn Robinson III, went on to a long NBA career of his own, winning the 2017 Slam Dunk Contest.
