Darrelle Shavar Revis is a former cornerback born July 14, 1985, who played 11 NFL seasons, mostly with the New York Jets, after being drafted 14th overall out of Pittsburgh in 2007. He's a Super Bowl XLIX champion, four-time first-team All-Pro, and seven-time Pro Bowler, inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

Revis became an instant star with the Jets, developing a reputation so dominant that his coverage assignment earned the nickname "Revis Island" — the place where opposing receivers' production went to disappear. In 2009, he was widely regarded as having one of the best cornerback seasons in NFL history, allowing the Jets to surrender the fewest touchdown passes in the league.

After a torn ACL in 2012, Revis was traded to Tampa Bay for a first-round pick and became the NFL's highest-paid defensive back on a one-year deal. He signed with New England in 2014 and won his only Super Bowl there in Super Bowl XLIX, before returning to the Jets in 2015 on a five-year, $70 million contract.

Revis retired in 2018 holding the NFL record for career passes defended (112) and having earned four first-team All-Pro nods across three different teams. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

Revis is remembered as one of the greatest man-coverage cornerbacks the league has seen, capable of erasing an opponent's top receiver for an entire game.
