Antoine Duane Winfield Jr. is a safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, born August 16, 1998 (5'9", 203 lbs). He played college football at Minnesota, earning unanimous All-American honors, and was drafted by the Buccaneers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He's a two-time Pro Bowler, first-team All-Pro (2023), and Super Bowl LV champion.

The son of longtime NFL cornerback Antoine Winfield Sr., Winfield Jr. starred at Minnesota, leading the Big Ten with seven interceptions in 2019 and earning unanimous All-American honors before declaring early for the draft. Tampa Bay took him in the second round in 2020.

Winfield started as a rookie and quickly became a defensive fixture, winning his first Super Bowl in just his first season when the Buccaneers beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV — he intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the game. He earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2021 and kept climbing from there.

His best season came in 2023, when he set career highs across the board — 122 tackles, six sacks, three interceptions — and earned his first All-Pro selection while grading as PFF's top safety in the league. In 2024, the Buccaneers made him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history with a four-year, $84.1 million extension. He made his second Pro Bowl in 2025.

Winfield is known for his versatility and physical, ball-hawking style at both free and strong safety, and continues to anchor Tampa Bay's secondary.
