01Biography

A.j. Brown biography and NFL career overview.

Arthur Juan "A.J." Brown is a wide receiver born June 30, 1997, in Starkville, Mississippi (6'0", 226 lbs). He played college football at Ole Miss, was drafted by the Titans in the 2nd round of the 2019 NFL Draft, later played for the Eagles, and joined the Patriots in 2026. He's a three-time Pro Bowler, three-time second-team All-Pro, and Super Bowl LIX champion.

Brown was a standout in both football and baseball at Starkville High School and could have pursued either sport professionally — the Padres drafted him in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, but he chose football at Ole Miss. Over three college seasons he earned first-team All-SEC honors twice and set several school receiving records, including 1,320 yards in a season.

The Titans took Brown in the second round (51st overall) of the 2019 draft. He led all rookies with over 1,000 receiving yards in his debut season and made the PFWA All-Rookie Team. He earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2020.

In 2022, the Titans traded Brown to Philadelphia for a first-round pick, and he signed a $100 million contract with the Eagles. He had his best seasons there: in 2023 he posted 1,456 yards and 106 catches, setting an NFL record for consecutive 125+ yard receiving games (six). In February 2025, Brown won his first Super Bowl — LIX, a 40–22 rout of the Chiefs in which he caught a touchdown. In summer 2026 he was traded to the Patriots.

Through the 2025 season, Brown had put together four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons with the Eagles — a franchise record. Known for his physical, emotional playing style, he's also been open about his struggles with depression early in his career, becoming a vocal advocate for mental health support among players.
