Michael Anthony Muñoz Sr. is a former offensive tackle born August 19, 1958 (6'6", 278 lbs during his playing days). He played his entire 13-year career (1980–1992) with the Cincinnati Bengals after being drafted 3rd overall out of USC in 1980. He's an 11-time Pro Bowler, nine-time first-team All-Pro, and Pro Football Hall of Famer — named the greatest offensive tackle in NFL history by an ESPN panel in 2022.

At USC, Muñoz helped the Trojans win bowl games in all four of his seasons, including the 1980 Rose Bowl, which he returned from knee surgery to play in against doctors' expectations. Despite recurring knee injuries limiting him to just 16 games over his final two college seasons, the Bengals took a chance on him with the third overall pick in 1980 — a decision that paid off immediately, as he became a rookie starter at left tackle.

Muñoz anchored Cincinnati's offensive line for 13 seasons, missing just three games over his first twelve years. He was named first-team All-Pro nine times and made 11 straight Pro Bowls, at the time tying the record for most ever by an offensive lineman. He also showed off surprising receiving skills on tackle-eligible plays, scoring four career touchdowns. He played in two Super Bowls with the Bengals (XVI and XXIII), both narrow losses to the 49ers.

Muñoz was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998, the first player inducted purely as a Bengal. He was later named to the NFL's 75th and 100th Anniversary All-Time Teams. Off the field, he's been a longtime philanthropist through the Anthony Muñoz Foundation and a founding board member of the Hispanic Football Hall of Fame.
